Adam is a West Philadelphia native, a multi-instrumentalist, and has run Audiomind, Incorporated recording studio for many years and has worked on countless recordings as producer, engineer, arranger, and/or performer.
Another song that began as a snippet of an idea many, many years ago. I very quickly had the ideas for the chorus section of the song, but I recently pulled this one out of the pile and figured out what it wanted the rest of the track to be.
It's an old saying, but it's so true, The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same. Apparently first written by a French writer in the 1840s, it's one of those phrases that seems to apply relatively constantly. It also seems to apply to so many different situations and conditions too. Jobs, countries, and so often...people...myself included.
Background vocals for this song are performed by Ingrid Lakey, Daniel Bacon, Eli Goldman, and me. All the instruments, as well as lead vocals, arranging, engineering, and production were done by me too. Once again, my artistic and talented youngest child made the fantastic artwork that accompanies this song.

The More Things Change
This song began as the seed of an idea over 20 years ago. I dusted it off and finished it only recently. No real intention behind the lyrics, they are what grew out of singing along with the music. I've found that sometimes the song tells you what the lyrics should be, and that was the case with Let Me Go.
Letting go can be hard...and it can hurt.
This entire song is performed by me. All the instruments, as well as lead vocals, arranging, engineering, and production were done by me too. Once again, my artistic and talented youngest child made the fantastic artwork that accompanies this song.

Let Me Go
This song is inspired by the 2020 lockdown that resulted from the spread of COVID19 here in Philadelphia.
It was eerie going outside and not seeing a soul anywhere...no people moving around, no cars or other vehicles in motion...very odd and out of character for my very large city.
This song's background vocals were sung by Ingrid Lakey, Daniel Bacon, Eli Goldman, and me. The instruments (drums, bass, keyboards, and strings), as well as lead vocals, arranging, engineering, and production were done by me too. Once again, my artistic and talented youngest child made the fantastic artwork that accompanies this song, showing Philadelphia's iconic City Hall with a ghostly image of me walking the empty streets.
As a dear friend has said to me many times, loneliness is everything it's cracked up to be. I can't really think of a more disturbing metaphor for loneliness than a Ghost Town.

No one is ever really alone, even when it feels like they're stuck in a Ghost Town.
Ghost Town
I wrote this song years ago, in 2007 or 2008, and recently revisited it, polished it up a little, and now have it available to hear.
This song is inspired by my wonderful wife, and the title "No Downside" makes clear why....there's just no downside when we're together.
This song has background vocals sung by Ingrid Lakey, Daniel Bacon, and me. Daniel plays the bass parts too, and the rest of the instruments (drums, keyboards, guitars, and horns), as well as lead vocals, engineering, and production were done by me too. My artistic and talented youngest child made the beautiful and whimsical artwork that accompanies this song, showing colorful heart-shaped balloons lifting me ever upward over Mt. Fuji, defying gravity's more literal downside.
If any piece of work can be accurately described as a labor of love, No Downside is certainly one.

The upside is that there's No Downside.
No Downside
I've just posted the 25th anniversery remaster of Big O Dizzy's album "Friends."
This album, originally released in 1997, is the result of 12 years in production and of the talents of the many gifted folks who worked on it. Daniel Bacon, Mark Wolfe, Andy Lipnick, Marianne Gellert-Jones, Ken Hymes, and a large cast of friends & family were involved in recording this project.
The album has 11 songs: Control Yourself, Friends, What Do You Want From Me?, Field Of Pain, Shoulders Of Giants, No Rest For The Weary, So Long, Paradox Of Love, If You Let Me Be Me, and Thank You. I remastered it in the last month or so, and have uploaded the results to celebrate the work's 25th anniversary.
If you've heard it before, I hope you'll enjoy hearing it again; if it's new to you, I hope you like it. Please share it with your FRIENDS.
Friends (Album)
Here's another song I wrote years ago, but never really made a finished version until now.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed and unable to make a decision about something, or that clarity was just out of reach? I sure have. I've learned that often times the harder I push myself to make a decision, the more elusive a decision becomes. Practicing patience has proven the key in those moments, and answers then present themselves if I allow them to arrive in their own time.
Giving myself a break and being patient is the inspiration for "A Matter of Time."
Once again, it's my talented youngest kid who created the artwork that goes with this song. The production is mine, words and music too. The track is made up of drums, bass, piano, guitars, trumpets, saxophones, and trombones, background and lead vocals. Ingrid Lakey, my incredible wife, doubles the background vocals as well.
If you've ever struggled to find answers you need, give yourself a break, trust yourself, and be patient...because as the lyrics suggest, "It's just A Matter of Time 'til you'll know what you want...it's just A Matter of Time."

A Matter of Time
Released a new song of mine today called, “Give You the World.” I wrote the song in 2004 or so, but only recently fully completed the recording of it and published it to various internet streaming services.
My two older kids are the inspiration for the song and lyrics (which are printed below.) My youngest kid didn't exist yet, but is the talented person who created the artwork that goes with this song (also below.) The production is mine, as are the words and music. The track is made up of drums, keyboard bass, piano, guitars, trumpets, saxophones, and trombones, background and lead vocals. All the parts are played or sung by yours truly, as is all of the production work of recording, mixing, and mastering.
This song for my kids comes from the heart, as you'll see in the lyrics, and in the chorus telling them that I want to “Give You the World.”
I hope you like it, and that you'll share it with others far and wide. Click your preferred streaming source below to hear the song, (or search “Adam Goldman Give You the World” on your favorite streaming service, or on the internet to find still other services that have the track ready to play.)
